But reading books is also a great help. I am also a garden enthusiast. I've a gardening newcomer and have been looking through <A HREF="http://www.myeasygardening.com/" REL="nofollow">"Gardening Made Easy: Everything you Ever Wanted to Know About Gardening ... But Never Dared to Ask"</A> that has beginning tips and more advanced gardening instruction. I hadn't really thought about gardening books being entertaining as well. Sorry, young Tradescant's type just puts me off. Pollan's style is rather amatuerish at times. For fun you might enjoy Robin Chotzinoff's People With Dirty Hands: The Passion for Gardening, 1996 Harcourt Brace. Not new, but, interesting characters around the country.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12157091.post-1155645027724170092006-08-15T05:30:00.000-07:002006-08-15T05:30:00.000-07:00Well, Lloyd would advise DO plant magenta next to ...Well, Lloyd would advise DO plant magenta next to taxicab yellow. Have you read any of the Mrs. Greenthumbs books? She is yet another of the people I keep discovering, shortly after they die. <BR/><BR/>Her books are aimed at a begining gardener, but they're very entaining. You have to like someone who titles a chapter "Don't plant magenta next to taxicab yellow". It makes me think of a house with a careful row of tall marigolds evenly spaced with short petunias.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12157091.post-1155596389833354112006-08-14T15:59:00.000-07:002006-08-14T15:59:00.000-07:00I agree with you on many of your books.
