If you're coming from Blogs of Note
Welcome! Please check out the "Perennial Posts" at the right sidebar. Some of those are my favorite posts over the years. "Least Favorite Plants" is good for a laugh as well as the one on garden objects.
I am happy to include links to your blogs if they are garden-related. Also, check out Garden Rant. That is my group blog, which I share with three well-known garden writers. Lots of fun, and occasionally controversial stuff. (Controversial in the gardening world that is.)

Gardening God's Way
In the essence of spring,
here are a few seeds for the spirit.
It's time to plant our gardens.
As you plant, may I suggest
the following rules for your gardening pleasure.
Plant three rows of peas:
Peace of mind
Peace of heart
Peace of soul
Plant four rows of squash:
Squash gossip
Squash indifference
Squash grumbling
Squash selfishness
Plant four rows of lettuce:
Lettuce be faithful
Lettuce be kind
Lettuce be obedient
Lettuce really love one another
Don't forget to include turnips:
Turnip for meetings
Turnip for service
Turnip to help one another
To conclude in our garden we must have thyme:
Thyme for God
Thyme for study
Thyme for prayer
Water freely with patience
and cultivate with love.
There is much fruit in this garden
because you reap what you sow.
Enjoy Your Garden God's Way, Amen.

I have lots of pachysandra, but I have gradually been replacing it with other shade plants. I would suggest digging up and either replanting with new or dividing and replanting what healthy plants you have and making sure the soil is well-amended with compost and nicely mulched.
i was going to make asuggestion about your unamed wild rose, is it possibly related to rose hip, that grows wild up here ( like raspberrys)it looks a similar color
